Mr Titus Polikuu, who was the Deputy Youth Organiser for the Upper West Region of Ghana's main opposition party (NDC), died in an accident on 5 February 2023.
In 2018, Mr Titus was elected as the Deputy Youth Organiser. He wanted to become the Youth Organiser in the November 2022 elections which wasn’t meant to be. He was extremely influential even after he lost the election.
Mr Titus worked for the Ghana Education Service as an IT and communications teacher.
“Rest in Power Comrade Titus Polikuu. This news hit me hard, totally unexpected. We lost Titus this evening through a motor accident in Wa. He was a former Deputy Regional Youth Organizer of the Upper West. He was married with three kids. May the good Lord hold and keep the family strong during this period. The NDC has lost a great asset. Rest well my brother!” George Opare Addo, National Youth Organiser of the NDC said in a tribute on social media.
“The next minute in life is indeed a mystery. Comrade Titus Polkuu, I wish I can ask all the questions but who will be the provider of the answers? It is a shock. Fare thee well” Peter Toobu, MP for Wa West mourned.
