Success James, 35, has been sentenced to 21 years in prison for luring four teenage girls into prostitution in Agbor, Delta State.

She was found guilty and sentenced by the Chief Magistrate's Court for Child, Sexual and Gender Based Violence in Awka, Anambra State.
In December last year, the Anambra State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Welfare, Mrs Ify Obinabo, caught four girls aged between 13 and 15 being used as prostitutes in Onitsha.
The girls said a woman called Madam Success tricked them into prostitution by telling them they would get a job in a restaurant in Agbor selling drinks in a beer parlour. When they arrived in Agbor, they discovered that they had been taken there to work as prostitutes.
The victims were rescued during a raid on a brothel owned and run by the convict.
The convict was tried in court on eight counts of conspiracy and other offences involving child labour, sexual exploitation and child theft. The court found him guilty on seven of the charges.
Presiding Chief Magistrate Genevieve Osakwe found Success James guilty on count 1 and sentenced her to 5 years imprisonment. On count 2 she was sentenced to 5 years imprisonment, on count 3 she was sentenced to 2 years imprisonment, on count 4 she was sentenced to 4 years imprisonment, on count 5 she was sentenced to 2 years imprisonment, on count 7 she was sentenced to 2 years imprisonment and on count 8 she was sentenced to one year imprisonment.
The Chief Magistrate, however, said that all the sentences would run concurrently and that there was no possibility of a fine.
