Reactions After a man kills four people and uses their intestines to make pepper soup

Bestman Lekia, also known as "Biggie," was found guilty of murder, armed robbery, burglary, kidnapping, and being a member of a cult. A Nigerian man was sentenced to life in prison for killing four people and then eating their intestines.

The Rivers State High Court in Port Harcourt found the man guilty and gave him a death sentence by hanging. He had killed four people in the Okwalie community in the Khana Local Government Area of the State and used their intestines to make peppery soup for dinner. Bestman Lekia, also known as Biggie, was found guilty of murder, armed robbery, burglary, kidnapping, and being a member of a cult.

Gbodu Nobaale, Etim Ekpe, Nenalebarri Mmeabe, and Loveday Mmeabe are thought to have been killed by Lekia and other people who are still at large. In 2019, kidnappers cut Loveday Mmeable's stomach open and used his intestines to make a meal of peppery soup and plantains.

Justice Adolphus Enebeli, who was in charge of the trial, ruled that Bestman Lekia was guilty of first-degree murder, kidnapping, being a member of a cult, and armed robbery. Justice Enebeli decided that the prosecution had proved its case after hearing evidence and arguments from both sides.

He said that the way the defendant acted during the trial showed that he was a hardened criminal, cult member, and terror who, if it were possible, should have been hanged four times and died four times. Justice Enebeli said that he must be hung by the neck until it is clear that he is no longer alive. This is to make sure that he dies.

When Chidi Ekeh, a lawyer for the state, told reporters outside the courtroom about the verdict, he was very happy. Ekeh said this about Lekia's death: "As a person, I don't take pleasure in the fact that he's about to die. But I'm glad that the government and its institutions didn't fail society.

The Ogoni people are glad that he is gone for good. I thought that was a cold, calculated way to look at it. This is just one more proof that the judge is a good person. The lawyer for the defendant, N. O. Megwari, said he had nothing to say about the verdict.

Look at the answers: "They should have started baby-cutting his leg and used it right away to make pepper soup for him." Then his hand, and then the other part of his body. He should have died of hunger."

"You say they'll hang him, but how sure are you of that? I worry about Nigeria. Oh, they're going to hang him in front of the courthouse so that everyone can see it. My heart goes out to the people who loved the people who died."

"What a long wait until we found out now that prison will break since this year is still eating Niger food; there's no need to spend time on these murders; give them a quick sentence to teach others a lesson"

"Tell me what kind of world we live in. Making pepper soup with their own internal organs! The person should be killed by being thrown into a river or baked alive in an oven.
