The tragic and shocking death of Maa Adwoa has been the talk of the town on social media for the past few days. She was shot and killed by her police inspector boyfriend, who is married with children.
The incident reportedly occurred in the forecourt of Dufie Towers (Adum, Kumasi) during a heated argument where the officer accused Maa Adwoa of cheating on him. The police officer, known as Mr. Darko (aka Taakum), shot her five times, leading to her untimely death.
Sources indicate that Mr. Darko had been in a relationship with Maa Adwoa for quite some time, providing for her financial needs and supporting her. He had even been promoted to his current rank in December 2022.
Despite the fact that the two were planning to get married, Ghanaians are blaming Maa Adwoa for her death, stating that she caused her own demise.
The wife of the police officer has spoken for the first time since the incident, revealing that Maa Adwoa almost caused her husband to divorce her. According to the wife, her husband was constantly fighting with her because of Maa Adwoa. She claimed that even when they were sleeping together in the evening, her husband would ignore her to talk with Maa Adwoa on the phone until around 1 am.
