Mba Ifeoma Gloria and Eremezie Tochukwu Martin, whose wedding was set for January 18, 2023, were killed by gunmen at Arondizuogu in the Ideato North Local Government Area of the state. The gunmen have not yet been identified.
Residents of the area say that the couple who were going to get married were riding around on the groom's brother's tricycle when they were attacked by the gunmen who killed all three of them on January 11.
People in the community were upset by the constant killings and kidnappings, so they all went out on Wednesday to curse the people who were doing the bad things.
They also say that the attackers have moved into their neighborhood and that they steal flashy cars and kill the people who own them.
Some of the man's friends say that he dumped his ex-girlfriend, who took care of him while he was in school, in a very violent way, so she might be the one who killed the people.
The state police command is looking into the brutal killing of the couple who were going to get married.
