Sister Derby reveals how she cashed out big time from her breakup with Medikal

Despite being given a "hot breakfast", Sister Derby says she made a lot of money from her break-up with Medikal because she was paid a lot of money.

The Ghanaian model dated the Ghanaian rapper until they split in 2018. They were all over the place and on the internet, posting pictures of themselves all loved up all the time.

When people found out that Medikal was dating Fella Makafui, who is now married to the 'AMG signed artiste, the breakup got even worse.

Recall that Sister Deborah took a dig at her ex-lover and his new partner by releasing a song called 'Kakalika Love' a few weeks after they broke up.

She told Sika Osei in an interview that the song made her a lot of money.

She told me;

"Unfortunately, a lot of women were angry with me because I was happy. I had a hit song and I was doing promotions where I was giving away GH1,000 every week because we were sponsored by somebody who loved the song and believed in the brand. I saw and heard that other women were angry, angry that I wasn't sad.

She also said, "No matter what life gives you, turn it into something good. For example, I released 'Kakalika Love' right after a very public break-up. Wanlov said it was the right time to release Kakalika Love. I already had "Kakalika Love" on tape... I was waiting for the right time, but I didn't want people to think I was reacting and going back and forth.

She went on to say, "I'm not going to join those people down there. There are ways to do it... Adele made a whole album about her break-up... We also made cedis and pesewas (laughs)... A lot of people wanted me to go through a bad breakup so they could see how sad, depressed and tearful it would make me.
