Popular South African artist Costa Tsobanoglou, also known as Costa Titch, has died.
The rapper, known as "Big Flexa", reportedly passed away on Saturday while performing for festivalgoers at the Ultra Music Festival in Johannesburg.
Online videos of the musician's performance showed him collapsing during the song, but continuing to perform after being lifted up by his security. However, he collapsed again and had to be removed from the stage.
The story was confirmed by South African media personality Phil Mphela on Twitter late on Saturday night.
RIP: Costa Titch, Mphela said in a tweet.
Costa Tsobanoglou, a dancer and artist born in Nelspruit, has died. He was 27".
With singles such as 'Big Flexa', 'Nkalakatha' and 'Activate', Titch gained popularity for his contribution to the Amapiano genre.
The rising star singer recently signed a deal with Konvict Kulture, Akon's record label.
Costa's death is another devastating loss for the South African music industry after his colleague Kiernan Forbes, aka AKA, was shot dead in February.
