Just a few days ago, it was reported that Eunice Owusu Boakye, nicknamed Okese, who is believed to be Maa Adwoa's best friend and the person who convinced her to meet with Inspector Ahmed at Dufie Towers’s forecourt (Adum-Kumasi), has been arrested for her alleged involvement in Maa Adwoa's death.
You may recall that after the news of Maa Adwoa's death broke, it was revealed that it was one of her best friends who convinced her to meet with Inspector Ahmed, as she was initially not interested in talking to him. Unfortunately, a lady named Nana Akua was mistakenly identified as Maa Adwoa's best friend who called her to meet with Inspector Ahmed and was accused of knowing about the police's plan to kill her.
In an exclusive interview with Gh Page, Nana Akua, who is being wrongfully accused, strongly dismissed the allegations that she's the one who called Maa Adwoa to meet with Inspector Ahmed. Nana Akua mentioned that she was asleep when the incident occurred, and only received the bad news about 30 minutes later.
Nana Akua rushed to the scene after receiving a distress call that Maa Adwoa, whom she sees as an older sister, had been shot to death. She then joined her family at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital. Nana Akua also stated that she doesn't know Okese by face, but only by name.
