Tears Flow: Man Who Allegedly Butchered His Wife Makes First Appearance In Court

A man accused of killing his wife and attacking his father-in-law with a cutlass appeared in court for the first time. The incident allegedly occurred after the victim, Eunice, had moved out of their home due to the physical and emotional abuse she suffered from her husband.
Her father, Ebenezer Dwomoh, confirmed her death and described the suspect as a serial wife-beater who made his daughter's life a living hell. He explained that the victim went to her husband's house to present a summon letter from the Domestic Violence and Victims Support Unit when the incident occurred.
According to Dwomoh, the suspect would even come to their house to beat his daughter and would follow her everywhere she went. After the brutal attack, the suspect attempted to escape but was caught by residents in the area who subjected him to a severe beating.
The timely intervention of the police prevented him from being lynched. Dwomoh appealed to the Ghana Police Service to ensure that the suspect faces the full force of the law and added that they will continue to follow the case until justice is served for Eunice.
