On Friday, November 18, when a WOMAN got up to clean her yard, she was shocked to find a woman's underwear, tights, and hat outside.
But the woman from Etwatwa, Ekurhuleni, had no idea that things were about to get worse when she left her yard. She found the face-up body of a woman covered in blood.
Lindiwe Nhlapo was named as the woman who died after the police were called (52).
The woman who found the body said that there was a passage next to her yard where a lot of bad things happened.
The police say that Lindiwe was cut more than 10 times.
Themba Mtshwene, her boyfriend, said that Lindiwe left their home on November 17, saying she had to take care of something and would be back soon.
"I didn't find out that she was dead until Friday morning," he said.
Francina Ramphele, who was Lindiwe's friend, said she was with her a few hours before she died.
"She visited me. I told her to sleep over because it was late, but she said she wanted a beer instead.
"Now, people are blaming me because I was the last person seen with her. Why would I kill someone I like?
"I'm so sad, and I want justice for my friend."
Sergeant Khensani Mathebula said that one suspect had been caught and was in court on November 21. The case will be heard on November 28.
