While preaching to his members about physical appearance, the leader of the Eternity Network International and Convener of Koinonia Global, Apostle Joshua Selman, said the Bible did not say women should not wear trousers.
Buttressing his points, the cleric referred to the Bible verse which says women should not wear what "parteineth" to men and said that Moses was just giving the law of brotherhood at that time.
He said he did a study on that scripture and discovered that the word "parteineth", as used in the verse is translated as "keliy" in Hebrew and that it means a vessel or article.
Furthermore, he said the word "man" as used in that very verse is not just man as we know (Adam). He said when translated into Hebrew, it is the word "lysh" and it means soldier, warrior or war. This, according to Apostle Selman, implies that the Bible was talking about men going to war, not that women should not wear trousers.
He added that the Bible emphasizes on modesty and decency, not women wearing trousers or not. Therefore, the church should focus on modesty.
