At his last checkup in a hospital in northern Ghana, Sulemana Abdul Samed found out that he was 2.89 meters, or 9 feet 6 inches, tall. He was told he had gigantism a while ago, and he went to his regular appointment because the condition can cause problems.
Sulemana Abdul Samed was asked to stand next to a measuring rod, and he was shocked when the nurse told him he was taller than the rod. Abdul found it funny that he made such a scene. His nickname is "Let's Go," which comes from the word "Awuche."
Abdul wasn't surprised because he knew he was always getting taller. But the hospital staff was shocked and didn't know what to do. Before a group of health professionals got together to measure his height, the staff kept calling other people for help. The team got the estimate by putting a pole on top of the rod to make it longer.
