The National Cathedral

On March 6, 2018, work began on the National Cathedral, which the president of Ghana, His Excellency Nana Addo, had planned to build. It was suggested that the Cathedral will be used for many things, such as national religious events and national ceremonies.

It can hold 5000 people. It also has different parts. Pastors who are well-known in the country were put in charge of building the Cathedral. Some of them are Prof. Opoko Nyinah, the former chair of Pentecost, Rev. Emmanuel Martey, and the former Anglican Archbishop Most Rev. Bishop Justice.

The board was made up of this person and other people. In the budget from last year, the finance minister Ken offori Atta said that the Cathedral cost a total of GHC 113,040,564.86.

Another 80 million GHC was asked for in the budget for 2023, but parliament said no. Nelson Dafeamekpor, who is an MP for South Dayi Rockson, said that the government was using the National Cathedral to waste state money. The board of trustees recently went to the site and prayed for God to help.
