As I was walking out of the office after being told I had lost my job, I felt like the world had come crashing down around me. I was devastated. In the end, I found a new job and was finally able to start getting back on my feet. The thought of that first month when I had nothing, but with her help, I made it through. Every time I feel overwhelmed or discouraged, I think back to that time and remember that I had someone in my corner willing to help me.
