In the Ahanta West Municipal District of the Western Region, two individuals were lynched in Beaho after being accused of stealing a mobile phone. The incident occurred on Sunday morning when a three-member group allegedly stole a smartphone. The theft was discovered when the victim realized his phone was missing and confronted the suspects. One of the suspects tried to escape but was swiftly captured by enraged residents.

According to Kenneth Obeng, the Assembly member of the Beaho electoral area, the captured suspects were subjected to brutal torture by the furious youth. They were pelted with stones and bricks, resulting in their death. Meanwhile, the third suspect was later apprehended, and as a form of punishment, one of his hands was amputated. Despite the severe injury, the suspect managed to escape, leaving a trail of blood behind, and is currently evading capture.

Eyewitnesses familiar with the situation revealed that Beaho is known for its high crime rate, leading to a lack of mercy towards criminals caught in the act.
