Tricycle Accident Kills 11 People In Ahafo
Eleven people died in a terrible accident at Ata ne Ata, a farming community in the Ahafo Region's Asutifi South District.
People say that the accident took place around 7:00 GMT on Saturday, December 10, 2022.
A witness said that the accident happened when a tricycle with people on it and a big load of ginger tried to pass another tricycle at Ata ne Ata.
He said that both tricycles had turned over, throwing the ginger and its riders into the middle of the road.
Ten people were killed right away when a KIA truck coming at them at high speed ran over them. Several more were hurt.
One of the people who was rushed to the St. Elizabeth Catholic Hospital in Hwidiem died while being treated.
In the meantime, the bodies have been taken to a morgue to be kept and examined.
