UNBELIEVABLE: 69-Year-Old Woman Marries A 9-year-Old Boy
Pictures of a 9-year-old South African boy and his 69-year-old wife's wedding have caused a stir on the internet.
It sounds strange that the wife is almost seven times older than her husband.
The couple got married last year, and this year they renewed their vows in front of 100 people.
Reports say that the 69-year-old woman used to be married to a 67-year-old man, but she left him for the 9-year-old boy and got a divorce.
The woman whose name was given as Helen said that her ancestors asked her to marry the 9-year-old boy.
Both of the old and young lovers' families were shocked, but they were able to come up with enough money for the wedding.
A 9-year-old boy named Saneie talked to some reporters and said;
I'm glad I married Helen, but I'll go to school and work hard on my studies. When I'm older, I'll marry a woman the same age as me.
After the wedding, they went back to living on their own and living their lives as they did before they got married.
Alfred, Helen's husband of 30 years, came to the wedding with their five kids. reported to have also said;
"My kids and I are happy because we don't mind that she's marrying the boy, and I don't care what other people think."
