The President of Cameroon seems confused about why he is at the summit. The President of Cameroon, Paul Biya, is 89 years old. Recently, at the US Africa Leadership Summit in Washington, DC, he forgot something embarrassing and made a fool of himself.

A video taken at the Summit shows that the President, who is now the oldest Head of State in Africa, looks confused during his speech.

He asked everyone in the room what they were doing while he was sitting alone on a panel and looking out at the crowd.

He asked a question, but he didn't seem to notice that his microphone was on.

“Wow. So I'm a well-known person now?" he asked.

He then asks why so many people have come to see him since he didn't ask for that.

Africa Facts Zone says that a man who looks like his aide-de-camp tries to tell him that he is at an International Summit and that it is his turn to speak.

"Are there any well-known people among them?" Biya asks.

“Yes. Just now, President Kagame spoke, and now it's your turn. "You have the mic," the man says back.

He also tells him that there are ministers in the room and that he has already been introduced to speak.

"Okay, so you're saying I should talk now? Where?” When his assistant says he can do it while sitting down, Biya asks why.

Then, President Biya is seen reading what looks like his speech while his assistant tells him that everyone is waiting for him to speak.

"Is there no one who can keep track of all this?" he asks, feeling even more confused.

Biya marked 40 years in power in 2022. He is one of the African leaders who has been in power the longest.

His opponents have been telling him to give up power and let younger people take over.
