On Tuesday, January 24, 2023, a Ghanaian man from Hwiediem in the Asante Akim North District of Ghana's Ashanti Region died in a car accident.
This was a very sad event. The person had just come back from a trip to the United States of America. He had gone back to his hometown to spend the holidays with his family and friends there. When the accident happened, he was on his way to Agogo-Hwidiem.
Reports say that the deceased and a friend stopped at a chop bar in Amantena, a town in the Asante Akim North District that is known for its local meats, including bush meat. Locals and tourists alike like to hang out at the chop bar. When a terrible car accident happened, the two were on their way to Hwidiem, which was the person's hometown. The person died on the spot, and his friend was hurt and taken to the hospital right away.
The cause of the accident is still being looked into, but multiple sources say that it was windy and rainy at the time of the incident. On that faithful day, it had rained, which was a factor in causing the accident. A person who was at the scene of the accident said that the strong winds had torn off the roof of a building near the road. Pieces of wood from the house's roof mysteriously hit the car, broke the windshield, and killed the young "Borga."
The event took place around 4 o'clock in the early evening. The sedan they were driving went off the road and into a bush nearby. Since then, the dead person's body has been taken to the morgue.
This terrible accident shows how important it is to be safe on the road, especially when the weather is bad. The family and friends of the person who died are in our thoughts and prayers.
