We Were So Lucky And I Have Learnt My Lesson - Nana Ama McBrown

Nana Ama McBrown, an actress and host of United Showbiz on UTV, said that her recent contempt of court case taught her a lesson.

A Tema High Court told Nana Ama, Mr. Logic, A Plus, and Afia Schwarzenegger that they were in contempt of court.

This happened after they said on UTV that Chairman Wontumi, the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, was suing Afia.

Reports from the past said that Nana Ama paid a fine of GH65,000 for the court case.

On her show on Saturday, she said that she and her guests would be careful the next time they talked about lawsuits.

She then cautioned social media commentators to keep things calm when talking about things that were before the court.

"We went to court on Thursday, and I just want to tell you my story to warn others.

People who work in radio, TV, and social media should read this. Today is my turn. It could be yours next, but I hope this is the last time. I don't want anyone to have problems.

"In the end, the judge ruled that Fadda Dickson, our boss at UTV, should be discharged. I, the host, A Plus, and Mr. Logic were all fined. We were so lucky, I must say. The fine was a warning, but I have to thank God for his forgiveness. Because he had blessed our lives, we were able to pay our fine right away. We were strong enough and had enough money to settle it, so we paid the court. We each paid GH60,000 to the court and the lawyer got an extra GH5,000," she said, adding that she had learned her lesson.
