My name is Yaa Pokua. Since I was a child, I have lived with my father and stepmother. I had no idea that Maame Jemima was the woman who gave birth to me. When we went to see her in our hometown, my dad told me she was my aunt. A few months ago, I got sick and had to go to the hospital.

My mother kicked me out of the house a week ago because she thought I was talking about her to other people. Because of how I left my father's house, I am now homeless and can't go back there either.
