After admitting to having two abortions, Big Brother Naija season 7 winner Phyna has given more information.
Punch was able to talk to the 25-year-old.
In the interview, she was asked about her tweet in which she said she had two abortions in response to someone calling her a "abortionist."
Phyna told the news source: "As a whole, my family is very open. People just take things at face value and say whatever they want about them. I really don't care what they say. I was just laughing at how they answered me, because people who know me well know everything about me.
"I actually told that woman, "Yes, I have done abortions," when she said, "I can't talk to you because you perform abortions." It doesn't matter how people want to see me, I'm not embarrassed by anything about myself. If I ever do something wrong, I own up to it. When my dad asked me why I said something like that, I told him, "Daddy, I learned it from you, oo.""
She went on: "As for why I took abortion pills, 98 out of 100 women in Nigeria have had abortions today. So, I shouldn't be judged.
"I was so young when I was in a relationship that lasted 12 years. When I was 19, I had my first abortion because I couldn't go home and tell my parents I was pregnant. And the two times I got pregnant, it was so early, between two and three weeks, that I could just use pills.
"The second time was when I was 24 and my service was over. I was willing to keep it, but the relationship was becoming unhealthy. He was mean to me and always hit me. I told myself I couldn't keep doing this, so I took it out, and that was the end of the relationship."
When asked if, in her current situation, she would think about having an abortion, she said: "What would be the point? I have enough money now to take care of 10 kids, so why don't I? In fact, I wouldn't have had an abortion on my first pregnancy if my parents had been wealthy. But I knew I came from a poor family, so we only ate once a day, usually in the afternoon, and saved the rest for the next day. So, I couldn't keep the baby at that time.
"It's a sin in front of God, and I've prayed about it and gone to confession. I am a Catholic, and I know that God has forgiven me. What God says is what matters. It doesn't matter to me what people think or say. I'm not proud of having an abortion, but the situation I was in made it impossible for me to do anything else. I don't see the point of having kids when you're not ready. So, either don't have sex or use protection, or if it happens, be ready to chest the baby or take it out, especially if you can't help it. Everyone does things for their own reasons, but some people are not afraid of having abortions at all, which is not a good thing."
