Mrs. Ajereh, whose stage name is Don Jazzy, has said that he is still sad even though it has been months since his mother died.
He says that people who have also lost loved ones often tell him to grieve as long as he wants because it helps the healing process go faster.
But the head of Mavin Records said that he no longer fears death because of what has happened.
Joey Akan, a music writer, talked with him for the Afrobeats Intelligence podcast about what he thought about death and how he was sure it wouldn't affect him.
He said she was full of life and never did bad things, which made it hard to believe she had cancer.
Don Jazzy said that his mother died of cancer, even though she didn't smoke or drink. Mrs. Ajereh died in July 2022. Joey said that both of his parents died when he was only eight years old.
