Showing grief at funerals is an important part of Ghanaian culture, but what happens if you are one of the many rich aunties who have to attend a funeral abroad?
It’s a tricky situation, and one that some Ghanaian women living abroad have taken to social media to debate. Recently, a viral video has seen aunties from the Diaspora challenge each other to see if it’s possible to cry at a funeral abroad.
The women living abroad claim it will be difficult to cry like most Ghana’s do at a funeral back home. They threw a challenge in a video saying: “you can’t cry here even though you really want to, all your tears will be stuck in your stomach. If you think we are lying travel and see, challenge me because you can not cry.”
The video has gone viral causing massive stir online.
