Some concerned NPP delegates of Ellembelle Constituency in the Western Region, have pledged their total commitment to rally behind Abeka Dauda Anvegyene, the Special Aide to Chairman Freddie Blay to capture the Ellembelle parliamentary seat for NPP in 2024.

Ellembelle constituency is one of the constituencies in the Western Region, the NPP is yet to win.

Ellembelle parliamentary seat since 2009 January has been in the hands of the NDC. It is being occupied by Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, the current Deputy Minority Leader of Parliament.

Speaking to the Convener for Concerned Ellembelle NPP Delegates (CEPD) on Tuesday, August 9, 2023, Francis Cudjoe said they were excited to receive a news that Abeka Dauda Anvegyene was the only NPP member who picked and submitted nomination form to contest in Ellembelle NPP parliamentary primaries.

"We very very excited to be told that only Abeka Dauda Anvegyene who is the Special Aide to Chairman Freddie Blay picked and successfully filed nomination form to contest in our Ellembelle NPP Parliamentary Primaries", he said.

He added, "Abeka Dauda Anvegyene deserves to lead to the promise land, he has done a lot for Ellembelle NPP and we the delegates are happy that he is running unopposed, we thank God for that".

He assured, "We are going to rally behind Abeka Dauda Anvegyene to capture the Ellembelle parliamentary seat for the first time for us because we have allowed Kwasi Bonzoh who is the current Ellembelle DCE to contest on our behalf for three times, Kwasi Bonzoh contested as our Parliamentary Candidate in 2012 and lost to Armah Kofi-Buah of NDC, he contested again in 2016 and lost to Armah Kofi-Buah, he again contested in 2020 and lost to Armah Kofi-Buah".

He, therefore, seized the opportunity to appeal to the rank and file of the party in Ellembelle Constituency to support Abeka Dauda Anvegyene to unseat Armah Kofi-Buah in 2024.

He also appealed to their three-time unsuccessful parliamentary candidate, Kwasi Bonzoh to rally behind Abeka Dauda Anvegyene to capture the Ellembelle parliamentary seat for the NPP in 2024.

"Let me take your medium to appeal to our dedicated NPP members in Ellembelle Constituency to rally behind Abeka Dauda Anvegyene to unseat Armah Kofi-Buah in 2024, let me also appeal to Kwasi Bonzoh who had tried it three times to support Abeka Dauda Anvegyene, Ellembelle Parliamentary seat should be our first priority", he stated.

Francis Cudjoe who is the NPP polling station chairman at Aiyinasi and the chairman for Ellembelle NPP Serial Callers Association, described Abeka Dauda Anvegyene as an affable, selfless, hardworking and generous.

He emphasized that Ellembelle MP, Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah has taken the good people of Ellembelle Constituency for granted.

"The end time of Armah Kofi-Buah is near, Armah Kofi-Buah has taken we the good people of Ellembelle Constituency for granted, since 2009 that we voted for him to be our MP, he has nothing to show as incumbent MP, we should not allow Armah Kofi-Buah to deceive us again in 2024, we have to work harder to unseat him and some of us will do everything possible to support Abeka Dauda Anvegyene to unseat him in 2024", he stated.

Ellembelle constituency is one of the orphan constituencies in Ghana that NPP is expected to conduct a parliamentary election over there to select a qualified party member as its parliamentary candidate for election 2024.
