The esteemed President Akufo-Addo has put forth the nomination of the highly capable Kofi Adu Amoateng to assume the esteemed position of Chief Executive of the Bosome Freho District Assembly, situated in the illustrious Ashanti Region.
He assumes the position of Yaw Danso, who was subjected to suspension by the President due to his involvement in dubious transactions associated with illicit mining operations.
The nomination is in accordance with the provisions stipulated in Article 243 (1) of the 1992 Constitution and Section 20 (1) of the Local Government Act, Act 936 (as amended).
The esteemed Local Government Minister, Dan Botwe, effectively conveyed the President's discerning resolution to the esteemed Ashanti Regional Minister on the auspicious day of Friday, the 28th of July.
"Considering the aforementioned circumstances, it is kindly requested that you engage in communication with the Regional Electoral Commission in order to carry out the confirmation procedure for the nominated Chief Executive," the letter further articulated.
