2 major causes of death during sex

Mon, 14 Nov 2022 Source: gabsfeed.com

For a multitude of reasons, including the physical strain of the action or extreme mitigating circumstances, death can occur during consenting intercourse. A common term for death occurring during intimacy is "dying in the saddle."

Have you ever wondered why so many people have perished in relationships that are close to them?

Both parties' health is essential because having intimacy (or copulation) can be physically and emotionally taxing for everyone involved.

Various factors, some of which are listed below, can result in death during intimacy according to Medicalnewstoday.

1. Drug abuse.

Many people use drugs, even though it is unethical, to improve their intimate performance. Drug use during sexual activity has the potential to be fatal. Sometimes, strong drugs (like opiate painkillers) and alcohol are combined.

Additionally, some individuals combine intimate enhancers and alcohol. Some long-term drug users will consume marijuana or cocaine during the occasion. All of this is done in order to have a satisfying copulation experience.

On the other hand, their health is in danger due to these potent medications. more specifically, their hearts.

Some intimate enhancers have been known to cause hypotension (low blood pressure), which, when combined with a substance that contains nitrates, can be fatal.

2. Cardiac arrest.

SCA, or sudden cardiac arrest, is characterised by the heart's abrupt cessation of pumping blood to the brain and other vital organs. During a heart attack, the heart often continues to beat.

In close to 7000 cases reviewed, intimacy was a factor in 17 of those cases. An Intimate-Related SCD affected people on average when they were 38 years old, and around one-third of them were women, which is significantly more than previous studies had suggested.

The investigators discovered that over half of the people had a heart issue. The diagnosis for the other half was sudden arrhythmic death syndrome, which is when a person unexpectedly passes away from a heart attack.
