FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

HON. KOBENA MENSAH WOYOME WISHES SUCCESS TO ALL WASSCE CANDIDATES.

23rd August 2023

As the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) commences, Hon. Kobena Mensah Woyome, Member of Parliament for South Tongu Constituency, extends his best wishes and support to all the candidates sitting for this crucial examination.

Hon. Kobena Mensah Woyome acknowledges the hard work, dedication, and sacrifices made by these students and their teachers throughout their academic journey. This examination marks a significant milestone in their lives, highlighting their resilience, determination, and character.

Hon. Kobena Mensah Woyome urges all WASSCE candidates to stay focused, composed, and confident during this examination period. He believes in the abilities of every one of them, emphasizing that success is not solely determined by the outcomes of these exams. The journey of success encompasses personal growth, development, and the lessons learned along the way.

Hon. Kobena Mensah Woyome encourages the candidates to approach each question with a calm and analytical mindset. By managing their time effectively, reading instructions carefully, and presenting their answers in a clear and organized manner, they will be able to perform at their best during this critical period.

In addition, Hon. Kobena Mensah Woyome emphasizes the importance of self-care and well-being. He advises the candidates to prioritize their physical, mental, and emotional health during this exam period. Engaging in relaxation techniques, maintaining a balanced and nutritious diet, and seeking support from teachers, parents, and peers can greatly contribute to their overall well-being and performance.

Furthermore, Hon. Kobena Mensah Woyome reminds the candidates that their worth is not solely defined by their examination results. He reassures them that their dreams and aspirations are valid regardless of the grades they achieve. The knowledge and skills they have acquired throughout their education will continue to serve them well beyond the examination hall.

Hon. Kobena Mensah Woyome, on behalf of the South Tongu Constituency, expresses his utmost admiration for the hard work and dedication demonstrated by all teachers in preparing the WASSCE candidates. He wishes them the best of luck in their exams and hopes that their efforts and diligence will be rewarded with the results they desire.

He strongly condemns and discourages any form of exam malpractice among the candidates.

He added that engaging in exam malpractice not only undermines the credibility of the examination but also compromises the values and integrity of the individuals involved as well as has broader negative consequences for society as a whole. It perpetuates a culture of cheating, erodes the standards of education, and devalues the efforts and achievements of those who attain success through legitimate means.

He wishes them well.

Thank you.
