On Thursday, January 5, Lagos state police detained Kingsley Enageghe, the director of a hotel in Surulere, for reportedly shooting firearms at a guest and one of his staff over a room payment.

Eyewitnesses informed LIB that Enageghe had asked his workers to describe a customer's chamber. Enageghe was informed by personnel that the guest had paid for his previous stays. The guest declined to pay the day's price despite the director's insistence. After a dispute, Mr. Enageghe allegedly walked into his office, pulled out a single-barrel rifle, and shot the guest and his employer in the legs.
The divisional police station arrested the culprit after the injured personnel reported the incident.

The culprit was detained and will be prosecuted after investigation.
