After spending three days inside a 20-foot well that his son hurled him into, a 60-year-old man is now in critical condition at Longisa County Referral Hospital.
Following a land dispute, Samuel Tanui's son threw him into the well in Bomet County, Kenya's Emitiot Sub-Location, Chepalungu Sub-County.
Charles Kiplangat Rotich, Tanui's 22-year-old son, reportedly came up with a plan to kill him because his father refused to let him sell the family land, according to area Assistant Chief Lenny Ngeno.
Rotich believed his father was dead after being thrown down the well, so he carried on with his everyday activities.
The elderly man was saved when he managed to scream loud enough for some of the onlookers to hear him. Then, he was taken urgently to a hospital.
