Meet The The Man Who Impregnated An Ape

Sat, 7 Jan 2023 Source: iNews

We've all heard that some people have sex with animals, but I'm pretty sure you've never heard of a person getting an animal pregnant.

Well, today's story will be interesting to you because it's about how an animal handler from Indonesia got an ape pregnant at the Surabaya Zoo.

We've heard that the Indonesian animal handler at the Surabaya Zoo is being kept and blamed for hurting different animals, including getting the female orangutan pregnant.

The 38-year-old animal handler was caught in the act by hidden cameras from the zoo's security staff after questions were raised about the man's sneaky ways with the animals there. A 14-year-old zoo worker named Akhiroel Yahya says, "Some animals were physically active when it was time to care for them."

"In any case, the fact that Marylin, our most experienced orangutan, was pregnant made us even think about it. Because she was so strong-willed, she had never been close to another orangutan, so it didn't matter "He admits that the news made it clear that he was sad. The zoo staff let everyone know that they took them before they could even explain what had happened.

Abdoel Hakim, the head of the zoo, admits that at first they didn't understand what had actually happened. Marilyn has been locked up for the past 10 years, and he knows that this is no longer a secret. When they put a few hidden cameras around, they saw the scary truth, he said, seeming angry about the whole thing.

Abubakar Jaar, the Chief of Police, clears up the situation by saying, "Everything he did was on his own volition." "He told local columnists that he loved all animals and was heartbroken that he had fathered a baby orangutan."

He also said, "He said he didn't know orangutans could make people pregnant."

Still, many experts agree that the man couldn't have gotten the female orangutan pregnant, but a rare genetic trait may explain what can't be explained. "In spite of what most people think, the orangutan species is much more like humans than chimpanzees. We have almost the same DNA code, with only small differences that could explain this man's falling orangutan "Bachtiar Pado Panghulu, a palaeobiologist at Jakarta University, says this.

"Particularly in Indonesia, the genetic makeup of some people is very similar to that of orangutans, which suggests that they could have been a common ancestor to both species a couple hundred thousand years ago," he says.

The biggest zoo in Indonesia, Surabaya Zoo, was in the news a lot in 2012 because of how horribly animals were treated. A former worker said that more than 50 animals had died at the zoo in the three months since they started working there.
