Shocking: Son, mother, and father die within 3-day intervals at Ejura

Sun, 8 Jan 2023 Source: iNews

In just three days, a couple and their only son all died. This has left the township of Ejura in the Ashanti region in a state of shock.

Some of Salo Salamatu's relatives think that she and her husband, Illiasu Akurugu, died because their only son, Mohammed Eliasu Awedam, also known as Doe, was sick and died soon after.

When the 78-year-old mother heard that her son was sick on December 30, 2022, she died. Doe, who was 38 years old, died on January 2, and his 83-year-old father died the same day after hearing about his son's death.

The parents had already left their home in Ejura to go back to their home country of Burkina Faso when they heard that their son was sick.

People said that Madam Salo had never had high blood pressure before, but she started to have it and it got worse until her health got worse.

Haruna Mumuni, also known as "Plus 2," is Mohammed's nephew. He told myjoyonline that his uncle died at his home in Ejura on January 2, 2023.

As his family was getting ready to tell him that his son had died, they got a call telling them that Mr. Akurugu had died.

Mohammed, the son, had stopped working as a carpenter and started farming. But he became sick and went to the Ejura Government Hospital and the St. Luke Hospital in Kasei for help. He never got better, though.

The family is sure that his sudden bad health and death caused his parents to die.

Mohammed left a wife and four children behind.

Some of Illiasu's friends who haven't yet buried him have taken to social media to say how shocked they are about his death and that of his parents.
