In Ngleshie Amanfrom, Ga South Municipality, Greater Accra Region, a family was compelled to exhume a buried corpse, causing much drama.
Saturday, the family reportedly interred a family member at the Amanfrom cemetery without permission from the traditional authorities.
According to reports obtained, the family buried the deceased without conducting rites or paying bills.
When the news reached the traditional leaders, they objected to the burial on the grounds that it violates cultural norms during the noise prohibition.
They compelled the family to exhume the body, return it to the mortuary, and wait until June 14 or bury him outside of Georgia's jurisdiction.
The environmental agency has not yet visited the cemetery to fumigate the environment.
