John Kumah, member of parliament for Ejisu, has dispelled rumours that he supports New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential candidate Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

Contrary to rumours that he abandoned Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen to support Dr. Bawumia because he feared losing his position, Dr. Kumah stated categorically that the rumours are false.

He stated that his loyalty and appreciation for Mr. Kyerematen, who granted him his first political appointment as a political assistant from 2006 to 2008, remain unwavering.

Instead, he explained why he supports Dr. Bawumia's vision, which prominently features digitalisation and the active participation of youth in defining the future of the nation.

Dr. Kumah expressed his unwavering confidence in Dr. Bawumia's grasp of the government's new reforms, which, in his view, makes him the ideal candidate to lead the nation to progress.

He made his position explicit, stating, "There is no job that I fear losing. My support for Dr. Bawumia is based on his forward-thinking vision, especially in the areas of digitalization and youth empowerment."

In addition, he emphasised: "Dr. Bawumia's comprehension of the new government reforms convinces me that he is the best candidate for our nation at this critical time. I have faith in his capacity to steer us towards progress and growth."

Dr. Kumah expressed confidence that the people of Ejisu are proud of his political work and expressed his desire that they will grant him another opportunity to continue serving them.

Dr. Kumah remains committed to voicing his support for Dr. Bawumia and working assiduously for the betterment of Ejisu and the entire nation as the election season progresses.
