Partisanship over Progress: A Wake-Up Call for the unpatriotic political stooges of Secondi-Takoradi, Western Region.

Thu, 26 Oct 2023 Source: KofiPedia

Western Region is a region rich in resources, potential, and history, and yet, some have allowed their political affiliations to cloud their vision, judgment, and caused them to aid and abet the hindrance to the progress it so rightly deserves.

The call for Secondi-Takoradi to receive the attention it merits is not rooted in politics; it is a matter of necessity. The mantra, "Secondi-Takoradi Deserves Better," is not just a catchy slogan but a cry for justice, development, and the recognition of the area's immense potential. It is a plea for the betterment of the lives of its sons and daughters and those of future generations.

Yet, it is disheartening to see some individuals, particularly those affiliated with the NPP, stand in opposition to this call for progress. By doing so, they have inadvertently allowed party lines to dictate their perspective, blinding them to the undeniable truth that transcends politics: Secondi-Takoradi indeed deserves better.

The condition of the region does not accurately reflect the vast resources it possesses. The natural wealth and strategic location should have propelled it into a thriving hub of prosperity. Instead, it is held back by a lack of investment, inadequate infrastructure, and underdevelopment that tarnish the potential it has.

It is essential that those opposed to this noble cause examine their priorities and motivations. It is time to rise above political divisions and come together as concerned citizens who demand the attention, investment, and development that Secondi-Takoradi rightfully deserves.

Those opposed to this call have to be reminded that their commitment to the region's growth is far more significant than any political affiliation. The fate of Secondi-Takoradi should not be determined by party lines, but by a shared determination to see the area reach its full potential.

There is no sense in fighting an agenda aimed at putting pressure on state actors to do more for the region that contributes so significantly to the nation's wealth.

Tomorrow, the demonstration is going on, with or without you. The validity of the call will not be dependent on how many show up; the message is valid as long as the youth struggle for jobs, as long as projects that started years ago remain abandoned, and as long as there is more clay on the roads than asphalt. The call for better will be a scourge on the conscience of those with the power to make a difference but have refused.

Our voice of one person speaking the truth is stronger than a multitude united by lies and deception.

Secondi-Takoradi is in desperate need for a turnaround, and it is obvious even to those of us who go there on working visits.

It is criminal to be from there and form an opposition against a call for better and a deliberate attention to the area. Even witches won't be proud of such an abuse of a demonic alliance.

I am not from Secondi-Takoradi, but I support this call; it is just and honorable.

SECONDI-TAKORADI DESERVES BETTER.
