Afua Asantewaa Owusu Aduonum, a Ghanaian businesswoman, has formally submitted documentation of her bid to surpass the Guinness Book of Records for the longest singing marathon by an individual.
Guinness World Records received the video proof from Asantewaa's team last Saturday for examination and validation.
She aimed to beat the previous record of 105 hours set by Indian artist Sunil Waghmare in 2012 by engaging in a five-day singing marathon that started at midnight on Sunday, December 24, 2023. She concluded on Friday, December 29, 2023, at 7:00 a.m.
Many public leaders and celebrities attended her celebration, including Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the Vice President, Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale, Sarkodie, Adina, Sista Afia, and Wendy Shay.
