The race to become the presidential candidate for Ghana's New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2024 elections is heating up. Among the frontrunners is Member of Parliament Ken Agyepong, who believes he stands out from the crowd of aspirants.
In an interview with TV3, the successful businessman touted his track record of being a man of action, not just talk, as evidence of his leadership abilities. "I am different. I have always turned negatives into positives," Agyepong remarked confidently.
With 10 aspirants vying for the NPP flagbearer role, Agyepong faces stiff competition. Many observers see him as one of the top three contenders, along with Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and former Trade Minister Alan Kyerematen.
Before the main NPP primaries on November 4, a special delegates congress will narrow the field from 10 to five. As Agyepong stated, his no-nonsense attitude and ability to achieve results position him well among the frontrunners hoping to represent the NPP in the 2024 presidential election.
