Sat, 6 Jan 2024 Source: Manzekay

The Guinness World Records for the longest individual cooking marathon have been unofficially broken by Ghana's own Chef Faila Abdul Razak, in an incredible feat of culinary skill and unrelenting persistence.

Chef Abdul Razak set out on this incredible cookathon on the eve of the new year with the intention of surpassing her initial goal—and then exceeding it with her culinary feat.

In order to beat Ala Fisher, who now holds the record for the most consecutive cooking hours—199 hours and 52 minutes—Chef Abdul Razak set out on a cookathon expedition.

Chef Abdul Razak had originally intended to cook for five days straight, but her perseverance and fortitude have inspired her to continue the cooking endeavor until January 10, 2023.

Before she ever started her epic culinary adventure, Chef Faila Abdul Razak exuded positivity and an unwavering resolve to not just surpass but completely destroy the current Guinness World Records.

Audiences around the country have responded favorably to her pledge to make Ghanaians proud while fostering enthusiasm for her audacious culinary endeavor.

Here are some reactions from Ghanaians to XChef Faila's incredible achievement.
