Ghanaian winger Kamal Sowah had a remarkable debut for Standard Liege, his new club, by scoring in their recent match against KAS Eupen in the Belgium Pro League.
In the seventh-round fixture of the Belgian league, Sowah's goal played a vital role in Standard Liege's 3-1 victory.
Having recently joined Standard Liege during the transfer window, the 23-year-old expressed his excitement on social media, stating, "I am very happy to have made my debut and to score my first goal for this wonderful club in a great win for us."
From the outset, Standard Liege dominated the match, with Wilfried Kanga and Hayao Kawabe finding the net in the first half. Kamal Sowah added to the scoring in the 75th minute, neatly placing the ball into the bottom right corner of the goal.
Although Alfred Finnbogason managed to pull one back for KAS Eupen with a late goal during injury time, the match concluded with a 3-1 victory in favor of Standard Liege.
