The goal of Northern Region native Failatu Abdul-Razak is to break the record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual and establish a new Guinness World Record.
She is anticipated to start cooking at the Modern City Hotel in Tamale, Northern Region, on January 1, 2024, and finish on January 5, 2024.
Among other things, Failatu Abdul-Razak will be preparing regional cuisine from Ghana.
With a length of 119 hours 57 minutes, Ugandan chef Dorcus Mirembe, also referred to as Mama D, has surpassed the record for the longest cooking marathon, which was set by Irish chef Alan Fisher.
With 144 hours and 20 minutes of cooking, the Ugandan chef has broken the record for the longest cooking marathon.
She stated in an interview with Failatu Abdul-Razak that Ghana and the North will become globally recognized as a result of her involvement in the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon.
"I firmly feel that by taking part, I will elevate Ghana and the North to a global platform and advance tourism and other economic prospects for Ghana."
She expressed hope that Tamale's kids and young women would be motivated to strive for greatness and realize that everything is possible.
In order to ensure that she breaks the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual, Failatu Abdul-Razak made an appeal to Ghanaians, especially the good people of the North, to flock to the place and support her.
Failatu Abdul-Razak has received assurances from the Overlord of Dagbon, Ndan Ya Naa, other chiefs, lawmakers, and other stakeholders that they will assist her in her efforts to break the record for the longest cooking marathon by one individual and establish a new one.
