New Patriotic Party flagbearer hopeful Alan Kyerematen has postponed his intended media engagement that had been scheduled for today, Tuesday, 5 September 2023.
A notice said: "Due to unforseen circumstances, we regret to announce the postponement of the intended media engagement by Hon. Alan Kyerematen, which was originally scheduled for today, September 5, 2023, at 2:00 PM".
"We count on your support until further notice.
Thank you", the short announcement signed by Barima Sarpong, Press Aide to the Alan Kyerematen for President Campaign, said.
Mr Kyerematen came third in the party’s super delegates conference.
Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia and Assin Central MP Kennedy Agyapong were first and second, respectively.
Following the conference and the subsequent announcement of Mr Kyerematen's now-suspended media engagement, rumours spread on social media that the former Trades Minister intended withdrawing from the race.
