Mother of Wizkid passes on

Fans have been thrown into a state of grief and shock as they’ve been left mourning over the news that hit them hard.Though the Nigerian singer-songwriter has not clearly come out to confirm or made a press statement on the unfortunate incident, a report from @gistloversblog1 has said that the Grammy award-winning singer lost his mother in the early hours of Friday, August 18, 2023.Wizkid’s close bond with his mother has been evident throughout his career, as he consistently expressed his deep affection for her.One can only imagine what he is going through at the moment with the news of his mother’s death.Mrs Dalopo Jane Balogun who at the beginning of Wizkid’s career didn’t like his choice and was very upset when Wizkid dropped out of school, became proud of her son’s success when it became a reality.She was a pillar of support who was often seen showing her appreciation for him from the sidelines at concerts and events.
She was not just a mother but a fan as well.
