After 6 months with Shatta Wale, I wanted to quit – Bullgod

Bullgod, the former manager of Shatta Wale, has revealed that during the first six months of working with the Dancehall artist, he wanted to quit because he didn't comprehend him.

In a conversation with Ato Kwamina D'Gem, presenter of Connect FM's Entertainment Review Show in Takoradi, the head of Bullhaus Entertainment stated, "I will say yes and no. Yes and no, because you wouldn't have to worry too much about the position itself. What is the position? The job entails recording in the studio, promoting your works in public, and filming your videos.

"You wouldn't have a problem with these items, but it's the extras. I mean that I have worked with other performers with whom it was necessary to coerce them into the studio for recordings and other tasks. This is chaotic for me because we are here for work."

The artist manager was responding to the question of whether Shatta Wale was the most challenging artist he had ever worked with.

According to Bullgod, Shatta Wale was difficult to manage due to what he referred to as the extras, which nearly caused him to quit after managing him for only six months.

"I didn't comprehend him then. He says something here, a radio station calls, I attempt to clean up what he said, and then you receive a call from another media outlet because he said something else elsewhere. Therefore, by the time you're finished, you've accomplished nothing, so it was difficult."

He added that perhaps the reason he remained was because they had not yet begun achieving their goals.

"At Bullhaus (Entertainment), we have a metric by which we evaluate our performances, and one of them is, depending on who or what level you were when you visited us.

"Within the first year, your name should appear in a number of award programs, but we cannot guarantee that you will win due to voting and other political factors. We realized that we had not met our objective, so we continued working with him until he received his first award. This is why we stayed, despite the fact that I and my colleagues wanted to leave within six months."

Currently, Bulldog manages Vanilla, an up-and-coming Ghanaian musician.
