Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, King of the Asante Kingdom, left Ghana this week for the United Kingdom to attend the next St Andrews Africa Summit (SAASUM).
The Monarch delivered a keynote lecture on the topic 'Traditional Leadership in a Modern Society' during the Summit, which was sponsored by St. Andrew's University in Scotland.
The ceremony took place on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at the university's Upper College Hall.
"His Royal Majesty will provide insight into the Kingdom of Asante and how Ghana's diverse peoples fit into local and national government," said the SAASUM organizers.
Following his address, the occupant of the Golden Stool will be treated to a reception.
"This reception is being held in collaboration with the University, where students and faculty will be present."
