In their sealed room at Gomoa Budumburam in the Gomoa East District of the Central Region, the decomposing bodies of a hairdresser and her thirteen-year-old son were found.
According to information garnered by Kasapa News Yaw Boagyan, the deceased Liberian was discovered healthy with her son on Monday, June 12, 2023.
However, they were not seen again afterward.
According to the neighbors, there was no cause for concern because they believed she had gone to perform her usual duties as a beautician.
On the morning of Wednesday, June 14, 2023, however, residents noticed a foul odor emanating from the room of the deceased, so they broke the window and discovered the woman and her son dead in the room, with their corpses beginning to decompose.
They immediately reported the incident to the Gomoa Budumburam Police Station.
The carcasses have been transferred to the mortuary of the Winneba Specialist and Trauma Hospital for autopsy and preservation.
To aid the police investigation, a liquid suspected of being poisonous was retrieved from the room.
Residents suspect the hairdresser and her son were poisoned because the door was secured from the inside.
