Cecilia Dapaah should be arrested and jailed for keeping that money in her house, not the house help – Shatta Wale demands

Shatta Wale, a Ghanaian dancehall star, has petitioned the authorities to place former Minister of Sanitation Cecilia Dapaah under arrest in connection with a theft incident involving one million dollars.

In addition, Shatta vented his anger with the current situation of the music industry as well as the political climate in the country.

Shatta Wale has been vocal about his dissatisfaction with what he sees as a lack of accountability and transparency inside the political system in Ghana. Most recently, he said so in an Instagram live video.

Shatta Wale questioned the objectives of politicians and suggested that they focus more on the "foolishness of Ghanaians" rather than solving urgent concerns. He said this in response to a comment made by a fellow musician.

He gave the example of the recent issue that included Cecilia Dapaah, in which the focus seemed to be on the house helpers who were reportedly the ones who stole the money, rather than on the minister herself for having such a significant amount of money in her house. He said this was an example of how the focus should have been on the minister.

"Take a look at our politicians; they aren't studying politics; rather, they are studying the idiocy of Ghanaians. "That is why it is possible for a million dollars to be stolen from the house of the minister in charge of sanitation, and everyone is talking about the house help who stole the money rather than questioning why the minister has a million dollars in her house," he explained.

The artist known for his hit song "Shatta Movement" went on to express his worries about the apparent disconnect that exists between politicians and the interests of the public.

He stated his conviction that the majority of people who enter politics are motivated by personal gain rather than a real dedication to the health and prosperity of the nation. He said this in his speech.

"Politicians are aware that you are unable to point out their shortcomings, which is the reason why they are able to do anything they choose. Everyone you see getting involved in politics does so for the money, not because they care about the welfare of the people. excluding myself, each and every one of them. Pray while you are in Ghana because this country will never change and the money will continue to go wherever it is going.

The comments made by Shatta Wale came in the aftermath of revelations that two house helps stole a considerable sum of money and other valuables from the household of Madam Cecilia Dapaah, the former Minister of Sanitation. The amount of money stolen is estimated to be one million dollars (or 300,000 Euros).

Public outcry has been sparked as a result of the occurrence, which has also led more inquiries into numerous accounts affiliated with the minister.

His thoughts reflect the frustrations of a large number of residents, who have the impression that their voices are not being heard and that their issues are not being appropriately handled by those in power. His sentiments echo the complaints of many citizens.
