The Ashanti Regional Chairman for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, along with Mr. Charles Opoku, have paid for the burial of a young married woman who passed away following former President John Dramani Mahama's speech at Dansame in Assin North.

Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, also known as Chairman Wontumi, disclosed to the bereaved family, "Charles Opoku has donated funds for the purchase of her casket." Additionally, he has given us money to give to the family for any other preparations."

A family patriarch who greeted the NPP delegation publicly remarked, "We don't know how to appreciate you for what you've done. What you have done to the family is incomprehensible. This act of kindness would make it possible for Charles Opoku to win this by-election."

"This is unadulterated affection you've shown us...The man said, "God bless Chairman Wontumi for this love."

Commenting on the accident, Chairman Wontumi stated that he had learned that "she was in the farm with her husband, who prevented her from joining the NDC convoy." Upon her departure, she was sacrificed. After a collision, she suffered an instantaneous cervical fracture.
