Court Issues Arrest Warrant For Businessman Over GH¢3m Dud Cheque

The Accra Circuit has issued an arrest warrant for a businessman who allegedly issued a GH3 million bad check.

Alhaji Fareed Yakubu, 40 years old, is accused of issuing a bad check to the complainant in payment of a debt.

The suspect, Alhaji Yaku­bu, was believed to be lurking in Accra Township and East Legon, according to a statement signed and released in Accra by Chief Inspector Kwabena Danso of the Greater Accra Regional Police Public Affairs Unit.

According to the police, Alhaji Yakubu is chocolate-colored, a Dagom­ba, and a resident of Tamale in the Northern Region.

According to the report, he is forty years old, of the Dagomba tribe, a native of Tamale in Ghana's Northern Region, and five feet and eight inches tall.

The police have asked members of the public with information on the location of the perpetrator to contact the Criminal Investigation Department of the Accra Regional Police Headquarters.

The statement also urged anyone with information about Alhaji Yakubu to contact the nearest police station or dial 0243504357 for immediate police assistance.
