This year's district elections will be conducted on the 19th of December.
On Thursday, August 17, Jean Mensa, chair of the Electoral Commission (EC), announced this at a press conference in Accra.
Nationwide, there will be 6,252 electoral districts and 38,670 polling places for the elections.
She assured that the public will shortly be provided with election information.
"As a commission, we encourage eligible voters to register to vote and take advantage of voter registration."
"We also urge citizens to participate in the upcoming district-level elections on the 19th of December, as this is the surest way to ensure local development," she said.
