Duncan Amoah, Executive Director of the Chamber of Petroleum Consumers Ghana (COPEC), has stated that fuel prices in Ghana are rising.

As the second pricing window of August began, certain oil marketing corporations raised the prices of petroleum goods.

Goil has also raised the price of gasoline and diesel to 13.50 and 13.90 cents per litre, respectively.

Total Energies raised the price of gasoline from 12.95 per litre to 13.50 per litre.

Diesel is also now 13.90 per liter, up from 12.95 per liter previously.

Mr Duncan Amoah stated on the Ghana Tonight broadcast on TV3 on Wednesday, August 16, "Basically, the pricing curve is pointing upwards as we speak."

"As you may recall, the beginning of August saw an increase in pump prices, which initially quoted 12 Cedis 45 pesewas but later increased to 12 Cedis 95 pesewas, a difference of about 50 pesewas."
